Family night out last night... We went to the newly opened Panda 1 Buffet located at the corner of First St and Los Angeles Ave.
Under $10 a head for dinner, a good selection of items and good service.
The item selection is what stood out for me. There was a sushi and stir fry bar and ten buffet tables (four of them double sided). I'm a land animal kind of guy (cow, pig, chicken, etc) and there were a more than enough choices for me. My wife and son like both land and sea animals, they also felt they had a good selection. Free refills on the drinks too.
My wife was ALL excited about the "real ice cream". Instead of the soft-serve you normally expect at a buffet, there was 5 gallon tubs of Dryer's Ice Cream... LOL, Her only gripe was that there wasn't any toppings (hot fudge, etc).
Service was polite and very prompt (which is a important thing for me...).
Overall I think it was a good value and we'll be going there again. If all goes well in future visits, this may become our favorite chinese food place... :)
