PublicJoe's - Visual Basic .NET - Free EBook
"There are enough sample chapters on the Web to read a book about Visual Basic. So here is some of what is available: Newest chapter here. But do not forget, If you find a good book, buy it, or else no one will write them.
Have a look at other ebooks: C# Ebook, Java Ebook and the Visual C++ 6.0 Ebook."
Now that's kind of interesting... PublicJoe's site has taken a number of free sample book chapters and put them all together (via links) as a "virtual EBook". I like the encouragement above to visitors to buy any books they like. Free is rarely free...
Also there are some interesting VB.Net/C# tutorials available. I'll want to remember this when someone asks me, "How do I learn to be a programmer."
