Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 Beta 1 now available for public download

MSDN Visual Studio Developer Center - Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 Beta 1

“Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 focuses on the core pillars of developer experience, support for the latest platforms, targeted experiences for specific application types, and core architecture improvements.

Pretty much the same offering as what’s on MSDN, except I don’t remember seeing the Shell stuff nor the web installers on MSDN… So the public is getting even more stuff.

Please remember, THIS IS A BETA. Don’t put it on a production machine and if you do don’t whine if it jacks it up (or you have problems uninstalling it when Beta 2 comes out, etc, etc). DO install it. DO play with it. DO through what you can it at. Just do so with care and forethought. Beta != RTM. There ARE bugs, this is beta, man up, suck it up and deal with it. (Sorry, “Army Greg” seems to be in the house today ;)

Also remember about a “ton” of people may be downloading it. You won’t fail a geek-test if you wait until later/tomorrow/this weekend to get it (well I, at least, won’t make fun of you…)
