“Some months back I blogged about “The Silver Lining,” a King’s Quest fan project that’s been in development for almost eight years. I was upset because Activision, after acquiring Vivendi-Universal, decided to shutdown the project. Well, it seams that things have changed! Activision has granted Phoenix Online a full non-profit license to release all five episodes over the coarse of 2010. Thank you Activision! You did something really good. In about 20 minutes from now, Episode 1: What is Decreed Must Be, releases to web. Here’s the list of episodes planned in the series:

The install, and suggested Win7 patch, went smooth for me (Win7 x64, MS PDC09 Acer 1420p, 4GB RAM) and the game, and cutscenes, etc, play very well…

ReplyDeleteA few years ago I was in a nerdy mood, and got the original KQ1 working on my dual-core 64-bit Vista with 24-inch widescreen monitor. It was sweet!
