  1. I have only used OpenGL to do 2D rendering, and I am interested in expanding my knowledge and seeing how some of the 3D buzz words I read a lot about are actually put into practice. Going through some "cook-book" style programming exercises seems like a good way to finally join modern society and embrace the third dimension.

  2. I like learning new stuff and especially I enjoy learning the way this book provides: becoming familiar with theory and concept behind and then getting hands-on.
