Resizing the IE9 Address Bar is just a click and drag away...

Microsoft Feed - How to Increase or Decrease the size of Address Bar in Internet Explorer 9

"...

If you are a Tabbed browsing lover and want more space for your Tabs then you can make the Address Bar smaller. Moreover, if you prefer to have a larger Address Bar, then you can increase the size of Address Bar in Internet Explorer 9 as per your wish.

I've been using IE9 Beta since its release and have mentally whined about the size of the address bar (i.e. wishing it was a little bigger). Low and behold the power to easily and quickly resize it has just been a click and drag away this whole time.

It would be ironic if this went away in the upcoming, week after next so I've read, IE9 RC wouldn't it?  lol

  5. @Smuch: So the address bar across the entire window and the tabs are below it?

Or are the tabs still on the same line as the address bar, but are squished?

If the tabs are below the address bar, right click on a tab and uncheck "Show tabs on a separate row"

If the tabs are next to the address bar, but squished, move the mouse to between the address bar and the first tab until it turns into a left-right arrow curosr <---> (like pictured in the post) then left click and hold and drag the address bar over to make it smaller and the tabs bigger...

  6. Greg,

Thank you very much for the small screenshot. I have been frustrated for about 1 1/2 weeks of how to enlarge the URL address field and I could not figure it out until I saw this screenshot!
