K'Alert - Free Send Calendar Reminder to Cell Phone Outlook Add-in

Konnech' Inc. - K'Alert

"K'Alert is a Microsoft Outlook Add-in that extends the ability of Outlook to remind you of any appointments set in your calendar by sending you a reminder text message to your cell phone. The program adds a button to the Outlook toolbar that enables you to turn reminder forwarding on/off and select how you want to be reminded - via text message or by email. If you are not in front of your computer to dismiss the reminder, the program responds by contacting you directly. ..."

Since I don't have a cool PDA/Smartphone (yet), this sounds pretty interesting to me. Plus it's free, which is always nice...

On a side note, I want to release something as freeware...

I've tried to get one of our non-business critical utilities released as freeware or OSS. I pushed it for a bit, but after seeing the blanks looks and horrified expressions, I just let it go. One of these days I'll have to try again.

It seems only fair to give back, doesn't it?
