PowerGUI is now officially RTM

Dmitry’s PowerBlog: PowerShell and beyond - PowerGUI RTMs!

"PowerGUI 1.0.14 has just got out and this is our first release which does not have the word “beta” in its name!

This RTM labeling is both a sign of the product stability and a result of the feature-richness the product achieved. We believe that PowerGUI is now a great administrative console and scripting IDE for a variety of platforms from AD, Exchange, and Windows Server, all the way to System Center.

I chatted with the Quest guys yesterday at the Hero's Happen Here launch and they were proudly showing off PowerGUI. They were very excited about it, yet were very clear that PowerGUI is its own product and its own organization, though supported by Quest. Still there was a very clear sense of pride in it...

And now it's officially RTM. Nice...

Why is this Powershell tool different than many others? It's gives you the easy point-and-click UI, while also letting you see what's really going on behind the curtains. Sometimes you just want to run a darn script and see its result. Sometimes you want to tweak it. Sometimes you want to see how other people have done their magic. Maybe you want to organize your scripts into logical, easy to find in the future when your in a hurry, way. Or you want to package up a bunch of scripts and share them with others (or get Packs created by others). Then PowerGUI is something you'll want to check out. And it's free and easy to download...
