GB-PVR

GB-PVR also supports specialist hardware decoders including Sigma Designs XCard, Hauppauge PVR350 and Hauppauge MediaMVP, with support the full application including On Screen Display (OSD). GB-PVR also supports multiple tuners, allowing you to record more multiple channels at one time.

What do I need? You need to be running on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Your machine must also have the Microsoft .NET v1.1 runtime installed. ..."

That sounds pretty cool... And I have a couple retired machines that might be powerful enough to run XP and this.

While it's not open source, it does have an open API, which is almost as good (if not better sometimes). There's a number of plug-ins ranging from DVD rippers to RSS reader to Solitare...

Hum... Time for a Fry's trip to buy a TV card? ;|
