Free cBlog Hosting...

Home - cBlog Hosting Service

Jim Duncan sent me an email this weekend letting me know that you can now get free cBlog space at http://www.mycblog.com. So if you've been looking for a place to blog at, and want to run off the beaten path (i.e. want to blog on a service that has less than a billion or two people already blogger there), then you should check http://www.mycblog.com.

Jim's corporate site, http://www.collutions.com, is also an interesting public usage of SharePoint. It's a good example of how SharePoint can be much more than the generic/default templates tend to show.

Browsing the site looking for free stuff (you know me and free), Collutions provides a couple cool free utilities beyond cBlog. Of them, cMySites looks pretty cool.

"cMySites is a web part that provides a list of sub sites in which the current user is a member. Optional settings will display an image showing the type of SharePoint site (Team Site, Doc Workspace, Meeting Workspace)."

It's pretty easy for a SharePoint server's site list to get out of control... This sounds like one way to help your users help themselves.

Anyway, check out the Collutions catalog for more details.
