If you have not been using our traffic hotline, all you have to do is log in (to protect your privacy) to your account management page , go to "Contact Information" , and then add your phone number in the "Phone Information" fields.

Now, anyone can call 1-866-MY-TRAFC (1-866-698-7232) to get free real-time traffic reports on-demand. Your colleagues, friends and family - even those that may not be registered Traffic.com users - can call the traffic hotline, anytime, for their city. Toll free voice activated real time "my drive" information... Okay, that’s cool.

On Traffic.com you can easily create a number "my drive" routes (now up to 20), routes you would normally during the day. Then on the web site you can quickly see the status of your routes, speeds and problems but that doesn’t help when you’re already in the middle of that drive/route.

Well it seems that they also have a toll free number you can check on the status of your route...

You call (using Caller ID it will automatically "know you"), say the name of one your previously created "My Drive" routes and the service will tell you (via pretty good text to speech) how that drive is, any major jams, average speed and usual travel time and current travel time. And again, this is real time information about YOUR route and very painless.

I think I’m done listening to AM radio traffic reports... ;)
