So Microsoft Office 2010 has RTM’ed, does that mean I can download it now? Nope, but soon. Here are the dates…

“…However the Office Team reached a key milestone over the weekend that warrants me taking some time to post. Office 2010 has officially reached RTM status. This is the last major milestone in the development life cycle, so while I sit here and install the release code I figure I should make some key dates known to you all;

Date Availability
22nd April Office 2010 will be made available via MSDN download
27th April Office 2010 will be made available to all Volume Licensed Customers who have Software Assurance
1st May This is when all volume license customers who don’t have software assurance can buy Office 2010
June 2010 General availability, this is when Office 2010 will be available to purchase from retail stores like Harvey Norman etc…
