Welcome! - Microsoft Technical Forums

"Hello, and welcome to the MSN Messenger API forum.

On Monday, September 12, MSN will be releasing the first publicly available APIs for creating applications that run inside MSN Messenger.

This forum has been created to provide a place where developers can discuss these APIs with members of the MSN Messenger team as well as other developers in the community.

Welcome!

Interesting. Looks like the officially supported MSN IM API is out Monday. Here's what sounds like a related PDC session...

"MSN Messenger: Extending MSN Messenger with Multi-Person Instant Messaging Applications"
"This session covers the architecture and design of multi-person IM applications within MSN Messenger using the Messenger Activity API. We show how to use the peer-to-peer capabilities of the Activity API to build multi-user IM applications that can send files, instant messages, data, and integrate with other services. Build your IM applications to work with MSN Messenger, the world's largest instant messaging service with more than 165 million customers worldwide."
